  • PEK’s Productions – Floginim – Use Pir to create lists of files and folders. There are several settings to use to create lists that have the information that you need. You can, for example, list size of files and folders, checksums (CRC32 and MD5), file types and much more.

  • pyDropboxPath – change or move dropbox folder name without reinstall « Dropbox Forums – You might also just want to give your Dropbox folder a personal touch, like naming it "Instant Backup" for friends who aren't tech savvy, but do need some basic backup. You can even set up Dropbox to sync to a removable thumb or USB drive, if that's your thing, though that's not exactly foolproof syncing.<br />

    pyDropboxPath is a Python script, also packaged up as an easy-to-run Windows .exe app, that locates your Dropbox database file and changes where it looks for synced files. You need to shut down Dropbox before running it, and some Windows users may get an error message about a missing DLL file—but those DLL files are helpfully included at the author's public Dropbox page. Instructions on running the Python scripts from Mac and Linux systems is included at the Readme-First page.
